It is a great lesson, though, in seeing the whole picture of how the fruit of the Spirit comes about. It takes the whole chapter of Chapter 5 to make it work. Just a burger takes several parts to make the whole. Well, listen to it, and maybe you will learn something. The something will be powerful if you apply it.

For reasons I will keep to myself, I had to change directions a little on this series about the Holy Spirit, and a ton of challenging things were happening in our ministry. I'm grateful for God's grace, love, and faithfulness, and for His patience with me. He is GOOD! But I fall short. I feel like I let you down on this one, but hopefully, by God's kindness and the Holy Spirit's intervention, there will be something you can learn from this. Hopefully, the next one will be better.

Conviction. We all love to be convinced, right? WRONG!! Haha! If we are being convicted, it means we have been doing something wrong. That is what the Holy Spirit does. He keeps us aware when we start straying from holiness. He brings us to God through conviction, and He keeps us with God with His conviction. I hope you are challenged to be like Christ and to remember the Holy Spirit's great work in your life. We don't want to be chained to sin anymore.

I remember being warned by a mentor when I got out of Bible School and into ministry. He said there are two things that will probably haunt you your whole ministry and life: sex and money. He was right. They are constant temptations. He also told me that if I could keep people out of my life, ministry would go way smoother! Haha! He was joking, of course.

Sexual purity is essential. Self-control is also necessary to honor God in this area of your life. What interested me here was that I have a responsibility to keep myself from sin. God is not going to do ALL the work for me. It is Him and me together.

But there was a reason they were doing great. The same reason they were doing great, we can be doing great. First and Second Thessalonians are two great books that will challenge our character and integrity and remind us of what is coming up in the end of times.
